To create a WordPress Page Template. Duplicate the page.php file into your child theme (if you don’t have a child theme yet, go here).
Rename the file to page-example-template.php. Replace “example-template” to something that describes the template better.
Open that new template in an editor. Paste the code below into the very top of the template. If you are pasting it into a PHP block then remove the opening and closing PHP tags.
