When you create a navigation menu link you can make it open in a window by click the box labelled “Open link in a new window/tab” below the link. This is very similar to the WordPress editor; however, sometimes that option isn’t visible in the menu editor.

To make the option appear, you will need to open the Screen Options at the top of the page and click the check box beside the Link Target option. Now the option that you need will appear in the WordPress menu link.
